Description
Northfield Township is now hiring for a part-time Building Department Assistant. We are seeking individuals with a background with the building permit process to assist our Building Department. In addition to working with the Building Department, this position will act as the first point of contact for individuals calling or stopping into the Township office, and assists with administrative needs of all other departments within the administrative office as needed.

Requirements
Must have strong organization skills and attention to detail. Should also possess a high level of integrity, ability to use a computer and learn new computer programs, and excellent written and oral communication skills.
Required: High School diploma/GED; some college or Associate’s degree preferred.
Preferred but not required: General knowledge or previous experience with municipal government; Previous experience with building department/inspection procedures; Exposure to BS&A software system.
